ABORIGINAL AWARENESS PROGRAM

The Turtle Lodge offers Aboriginal Awareness workshops which share a traditional perspective.

The workshops can be designed to accommodate the unique needs of groups, and could be made available to anyone who wants to know more about Aboriginal people and perspectives. These awareness workshops are especially geared to those working in a field offering Aboriginal programming or working with Aboriginal people.

Examples of opportunities offered might include:

Increased awareness of Aboriginal perspectives

Building bridges and strengthening relationships with Aboriginal people and communities

Traditional Aboriginal teachings, which are about our relationship to each other and the land, and which inspire us to treat each other and the land in a respectful way

Experiencing traditional Aboriginal ceremonies for healing, sharing and personal growth

The environmental crisis and indigenous knowledge that can lay a foundation for greater awareness of our connection to the sacredness of the land

The Turtle Lodge is a non-profit organization with Canadian charitable status. Currently we operate on a part-time basis, depending on contracts and donations to support our programs. The Turtle Lodge requires support to cover the costs of lodge maintenance, program supplies and day-to-day operations. Programs at the Turtle Lodge can be arranged to suit the needs of your group.
